The Miriam Foundation kicked off the summer season with its 57th annual golf tournament on June 27 in Île-Bizard, bringing together 150 participants. The “Swing for the Cause!” event was once again held at the Elm Ridge Golf Club, aiming to support individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or intellectual disabilities (ID). Thanks to the generosity of donors and sponsors, close to $250,000 was raised during the event.

“We are thrilled to have once again hosted a successful golf tournament, a key event that supports our mission to support individuals with ASD or ID and their families. This tournament not only helps us raise essential funds but also brings the community together in a spirit of camaraderie and generosity. The participation and contributions of all players and sponsors make a tremendous difference in the lives of those we serve, and we are deeply grateful for their continued support,” said Warren Greenstone, President and CEO of the Miriam Foundation.

The Miriam Foundation's annual golf tournament is one of the oldest charitable golf tournaments in Canada and is a vital part of its fundraising activities. Each donation helps ensure that these services remain as accessible as possible to those in need at all stages of their lives. Over the past 50 years, the Miriam Foundation has raised more than $50 million, providing subsidized services to over 8,000 clients and their families and loved ones.

The 2024 edition was co-chaired by Tyna Jallet, Michael Denham, and Nick Meti, and would not have been possible without the presence of volunteers and staff who helped make this edition a great success. A special thanks to National Bank, Fetter Financial Corporation, and the Lenny Sanders Family Foundation, as well as all the attendees.
